A fresh new start
I’ve known the lads from Liverpool band Rivia for years, so when lead singer Matt approached me to help create an identity for his new band, I leapt at the chance. We created an iconic logo and used it as the centrepiece of the first piece of cover art for 2019’s Hello Stranger.
The lads were delighted with the results, and since then we’ve gone on to create three more covers, all following the visual style of the first: the Rivia logo backlighting silhouettes of characters from the songs.
The covers were created using a variety of different mediums: hand drawing & scanned photographs, digital drawing on an iPad, Photoshop retouching and vector illustration were all used to bring together the final pieces.
